Binding, Stapling, and Stitching

Most brochures, booklets, magazines, catalogues and many other printed documents are bound using saddle stitching utilising wire staples holding the pages together. A machine drives them through its backbone fold to the centerfold, where they clench. A saddle-stitched printed piece lies almost flat when opened, a useful print finishing method and a great convenience for readers.
